Unit price perThe StretchTec Shoulder Relief Girth provides a freer range of motion for a horse's scapula. The girth's unique contour attaches to the billets farther back on a horses's body to prevent the saddle from being pulled forward into the shoulders.
The top of a horse's scapula rotates backward about 2 inches as the forelimb reaches forward. In many cases this can cause the scapula to run into the saddle tree. The StretchTec Shoulder Relief Girth helps to keep the entire range of motion free by preventing the saddle from causing interference.

The design also allows it to stretch in a more anatomically friendly way to contour to a horse's barrel and provide even contact over the sternum.
The StretchTec Shoulder Relief Girth also comes with a removable and interchangeable liner (cover). This makes washing easier and gives you many more options. Now your one girth can easily be changed from leather, to neoprene, to fleece lining.

Updated and improved in 2022, stirrup leathers just got a whole lot better.
SLIM Stability Stirrup Leathers are now available in an intelligent low-profile design that removes the buckle bulkiness of traditional stirrup leathers from under the saddle skirt, leaving a rider feeling nothing but the comfort of the saddle. This unique design also allows a rider to configure the stirrup irons to be rotated 90° from traditional positioning to alleviate knee strain (see above photo gallery for example).
The SLIM Stability Stirrup Leathers’ wide-body design brings an unprecedented level of stability to a rider’s leg by providing a broader contact area on the saddle flap. Traditional 1 inch wide stirrup leathers have an inherent instability against the flap due to their height to width ratio. This either causes the two layers shift independently of one another, or the entire leather to rotate.
SLIM Stability Stirrup Leathers solve this problem by reducing the stirrup leathers to a single layer of leather and broadening the portion of the leathers that touch the flap. These 2 design elements provide an unparalleled level of stability not possible in traditional stirrup leathers.
The secondary benefit of this wide-body design, is the unbelievably smooth feeling under the rider’s leg. By the same mechanism that provides stability, they smooth out the transition from stirrup leather to saddle flap to create a feeling of “no leathers” under the leg. When this is paired with the ultra-slim design under the saddle skirt, it becomes the most comfortable stirrup leather available.
Another key benefit of the SLIM Stability Stirrup Leathers comes from the material selection. The entire body and strap of the leathers is covered in soft calf leather. Internally, nylon webbing runs through 100% of the leathers, from the stirrup bar to the tip of the strap, which guarantees these leather WILL NOT STRETCH.
SLIM Stability Stirrup Leathers are designed deliberately in two styles, either JUMP or DRESSAGE in sizes Small, Medium or Large, which fit like 48″, 54″ and 60″ traditional leathers, respectively.
More specifically the size ranges are as follows:
Jump Small: 18-22 inches
Jump Medium: 19-23.5 inches
Dressage Medium: 21-26.5 inches
Dressage Large: 22-28 inches
Maximum saddle flap length (measured top of stirrup bar to bottom of flap):

Please note that due to the unique design of the SLIM Stability Stirrup Leathers, the irons (stirrups) cannot be “run up” onto the saddle flap for storage. They must be crossed over the seat of the saddle instead (or left in place).

The patent pending Better Bridle is the result of 4 years of development, with the intention of creating the most comprehensive anatomical bridle yet... all while maintaining the clean simple lines of a traditional bridle.
There are already a handful of anatomical bridles out there, but they tend to focus on one issue - like poll pressure - and leave many potential problem areas unresolved. Since every piece of the bridle interacts with the bridle as a whole, it is crucial that each piece is deliberately designed to work in symbiosis with the rest of the bridle.
There are at least five fit components of a bridle that need to be done correctly to fit all of a horse's structure well. They are:
1. Poll/atlas
2. Cartilage at the base of the ears
3. Molars
4. Nasal bones and air passages
5. TMJ (temporomandibular joint) - the connection between the skull and jaw, a critical area that allows a horse to relax its jaw
Many traditional bridles miss the mark on all five of these areas with high pressure on the ear cartilage, digging the molars into the cheeks, restricting nasal passages and causing pressure on the sensitive nerves around the TMJ.
The Better Bridle addresses all of these problem areas with a handful of industry firsts, like an articulating nose band, adjustable brow band, a pivoting throat latch and a unique crown design to protect the atlas and ears.
ARTICULATING NOSEBAND
Traditional bridles have a fixed noseband. Motion studies have shown that the location of peak pressure on a noseband changes depending on the position of the horse’s head.
For example, when the horses head is on the vertical, the upper edge of the noseband has greater pressure. When the horses head is above vertical, like on an approach to a fence, the lower edge of the noseband has more pressure.
The Better Bridle solves this pressure imbalance with an articulating noseband that moves independently of the rest of the bridle with a hinge point on the cheek piece.
BROWBAND - ADJUSTABLE & PAIN-FREE
Just because your horse’s head is a “horse” size, doesn’t mean it has the same conformation as other horses with the same bridle size. That’s why the Better Bridle has an adjustable browband.
It accommodates different head shapes and proportions to be sure the browband places the crown leather in a safe position away from the horse’s ears and off the TMJ.
The browband design also removes one of the highest (and most under discussed) pressure points on a bridle - which is where the crown and browband meet. On a traditional bridle the overlap bulk of the two pieces causes high pressure. The Better Bridle fixes this by passing the browband through the crown, to create a low profile and low pressure attachment point.
SMART CROWN PADDING
The crown is shaped to contour around the ears and TMJ. It’s padded in a unique way that gives padding where it is needed most.
You can see there is more padding at the front of the crown near the ears, and more padding at the rear of the crown over the poll. These are the specific areas where padding is actually helpful.
We kept the overall poll light and minimal, since studies have shown that most bridles have increased pressure at the base of the ears rather than the poll.
PRESSURE RELIEF NOSEBAND
Traditional bridles have evenly padded nosebands, which create pressure points on the edge of the nasal bones, where the skin is thin and the bones are fragile. The Better Bridle has thick padding in the front center of the noseband to lift it from the horse and eliminate that common pressure point.
Additionally, traditional bridles can restrict the nasal passages by compressing the soft tissue on either side of the nasal bone. The raised center padding of the Better Bridle alleviates this problem.
THROATLATCH OPTIONS
The throat latch freely pivots, which let’s it naturally move and shape to the contours of every horse’s head, unlike traditional bridles that make it a rigid add-on to the crown.
The Better Bridle also has 3 throat latch positions to tailor it to a specific horse’s conformation.
